What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Traditional Landscaping and Design?
Traditional Landscaping and Design is a leader in the design and install of high end custom outdoor living spaces in the Capital District. Delivering unmatched quality and exceeding client expectations across all our services offered. We are looking for a strong Project Manager who would be responsible for selling, coordinating, managing and completing projects on time and within budget to customers satisfaction and following company protocols. This includes monitoring vehicle compliance and assisting with collections of outstanding invoices as needed. This role will also fill in for foreman and other managers as needed by the company. The Project Manager will assure all direct reports adhere to Traditional Landscaping LLC’s core values and follow company protocols as directed as well as work with other department managers to keep the company moving in a positive direction.
Responsibilities
- Perform site visits for prospective customers for maintenance, landscape and hardscape projects.
- Maintain professionalism while positively selling service requested as well upselling other products and services if possible
- Build and present estimate to customer, includes follow ups until close or loss of sale
- Build budget and establish project timeline
- Assign and coordinate crews accordingly for projects
- Manage maintenance crews as needed
- Monitor quality control, expenses and labor time for all assigned projects
- Assure project folders are populated and completed to the best of your ability
- Assist Foreman with material purchasing
- Maintain communication with customers and address any needs or concerns that may arise
- Create and present Change Orders to customers as they arise; obtain sign off prior to completing new work
- Complete projects on time and within budget to customer satisfaction
- Fill in for Foreman as needed
- Vehicle maintenance and compliance (Inspections, service, repairs, etc…)
- Assist with billing and collections of assigned projects as needed
- Assist other department managers as needed
- Monitor weather conditions and coordinate snow removal and salting crews
- Snow removal is required as needed based upon weather conditions
Qualifications
- 2 years project management or similar role in a landscape/hardscape or similar field
- GED / High School Diploma or higher
- ICPI / NCMA preferred, not required
- Drivers license
- Positive attitude
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to use company programs such as Google Workspace, Company Cam and others
- Bilingual preferred, not required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus, not required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
