Job Overview
Traditional Woodworks in Berwick, ME is looking for a shop foreman to form part of our growing team! We are a market leader in high-end architectural millwork and work in some of the finest homes in New England. The team is currently 20 people working in a 15,000 ft2 shop. The ownership is young and looking to grow the business by hiring the most enthusiastic and talented employees in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have both management and production skills, enjoy leading dynamic teams, and have extensive experience in high end millwork. The position will play a major role in mentoring and growing the production team. Experience building quality control and lean management systems is also valuable.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in a leadership role within the woodworking industry.
- Prior experience as a woodworker.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Should fully understand architectural CAD drawings and blueprints.
- Mut be able to schedule and run multiple projects on time and on budget.
- Should have extensive knowledge of standard cabinet/millwork manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team setting with all types and levels of employees.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
