Traditions Racquet Center - Tennis Pro Position
Reports to: Director of Racquet Sports
The Tennis Pro Position will consist of the following obligations;
- Work the Pro Shop during the hours listed below.
- Learn to string rackets.
- Solicit lessons by making phone calls and sending emails.
- Teach Private and Group lessons for the compensation listed below.
- Give complimentary 30-minute hitting consultations with new members.
- Grow the Junior Programs.
- Play as a sub during leagues, as needed.
- Represent Traditions Club in a Professional and Courteous manner at all times.
- Attend Club functions as requested in order to get acquainted with new members.
- You must clock out of Pro Shop hours when teaching a Private, Group or Junior Program.
- Become USPTA Certified within 1 year (paid for by Traditions).
The compensation package will be as follows;
- Pro Shop Hourly $10 per hour
- Racket Stringing $10 each
- Lesson Commissions 60% of revenue
- Eligible to Apply for the Scholarship Program.
Pro Shop scheduled hours;
Monday closed
Tuesday 4 – 7 pm
Wednesday 4 – 7 pm
Thursday 4 – 7 pm
Friday 4 – 7 pm
Saturday 8 am – 12 pm
Sunday 12 – 4 pm
Total 20 hours per week
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Ability to control natural swing speed during instruction or matches with inexperienced players.
• Sufficient stamina to tolerate hot and humid outdoor weather for several consecutive hours.
• Continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stooping and repetitive actions.
• Frequent use of light machinery and hand-held tools.
• Frequent lifting and moving of objects.
