What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant position at Traditions Home Health Services?
Traditions Home Health Services is currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, reliable, and experienced female Certified Nursing Assistant to assist our geriatric aged clients in the Boston area.
Available Shifts:
Morning: typically, 3–4-hour shift 8a-12p or 9a-1p
Days: 4–12-hour shift
Evenings: 4–6-hour shift
Overnight: Typically, a 12-hour shift, 7p-7a or 8p-8a
CNA Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily living activities, including toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, grooming, nail care, oral hygiene, and skin integrity maintenance.
- Monitoring vital signs, facilitating daily exercises according to the client's care plan, performing range of motion exercises, and assisting, monitoring client on treadmill.
- Preparing healthy, fresh meals in accordance with the client's care plan and ensuring adequate fluid intake throughout the shift.
- Adhering to infection control protocols.
- Administering medication reminders and assisting with the application of eye drops, ointments, creams, and ear drops.
- Conducting household support such as laundry, folding, putting away clothes, changing sheets, vacuuming, washing dishes, and dusting to maintain a safe and clean home environment for the client.
- Engaging with your client in fun, stimulating activities to create joyful moments.
- Engaging with your client in meaningful conversations
- Providing transportation for outings, errands, and appointments.
- Skilled in assisting with transfers, operating mechanical lifts, and providing catheter care.
- Proficient in dementia care and Parkinsons
- Competently documenting shift activities digitally using a smartphone
- CNA would report any concerns to the Traditions Home Health Services Office Support Team in a timely manner
