What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistants Evenings position at Traditions Home Health Services?
Traditions Home Health Services is currently seeking compassionate, skilled, reliable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants who can assist with our clients who reside in the Memory Care unit of an Assisted Living Facility. The CNAs would be assisting our client 1-1, this is not a staffing shift.

CNA Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily living activities, including toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, grooming, nail care, oral hygiene, and skin integrity maintenance.
- Monitoring clients incontinence briefs frequently during the shift; changing, perineal care to ensure client is always clean, dry, and not irritated.
- Monitor client's skin and doing skin checks daily documenting findings.
- Monitoring vital signs, facilitating daily exercises according to the client's care plan, performing range of motion exercises, and walking.
- Assisting the clients with their meals in the dining area or possibly in their room accordance with the client's care plan and ensuring adequate fluid intake throughout the shift.
- Adhering to infection control protocols.
- Conducting light housekeeping; making sure bed is clean and prepared, keeping client belongings organized, and keeping client's room organized, a clean safe environment
- Engaging with your client in fun, stimulating activities to create joyful moments.
- Engaging with your client conversations
- Encouraging client to participate in facility activities.
- Encouraging your client to be active and stimulated during the day for a better night's rest.
- Skilled in assisting with transfers, operating mechanical lifts
- CNA would monitor and assist/standby client with all transfers and ambulation, client is a fall risk.
- Proficient in dementia care.
- Competently documenting shift activities digitally using a smartphone frequently during the shift.
- Competently documenting during the shift client's fluid intake and meals eaten
- CNA would treat the Facility staff as co-workers, and report to Facility nurse any concerns regarding client.
- CNA would report any concerns to the Traditions Home Health Services Office Support Team in a timely manner
