What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive - Outside Sales position at Trafera LLC?
Base salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annually with OTE between $120,000-$140,000.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generate leads through proactive outreach, including cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships in the public sector
- Navigate complex government procurement processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations, to secure new business deals
- Stay informed about vendor offerings, new technologies, and market trends to strategically position Trafera's value proposition
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and differentiate Trafera's solutions in the public sector
- Research market pricing and prepare proposals that are competitive while ensuring healthy gross margins for the organization
- Partner with top tier manufacturers and distribution partners such as Lenovo, TD Synnex, and Google to build the best solution for Trafera clients
- Represent the organization in regional and national educational conferences
- Meet or exceed monthly behavior and sales goals
- Leverage CRM system to document client conversations, sales, and forecasting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams pre and post sales
- Position Trafera’s entire portfolio of products, solutions, services, and capabilities
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality
- Self-motivated and a passion for the education, local government, and higher ed sectors
- Capable of identifying and pursuing new opportunities with an ownership mentality.
- Exceptional technical and non-technical communication skills
- Accountable, high integrity, passionate and can effectively facilitate presentations in person or virtually
- Self-study to build industry knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of technology in the educational vertical
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Proven success in consultative sales, building solutions, and cold calling to generate new business
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with state and local government selling
- Experience working with state contracts, RFPs, and public sector procurement processes
- Previous experience with IT resellers or in the technology sales sector is highly valued
Essential and Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, being on telephone calls, and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- The ability to travel for business to tradeshows, company meetings, and customer-facing engagements is required. Travel requirements can vary throughout the year based on the demand, but travel requirements will be 50%
