SENIOR CARRIER OPERATIONS REPRESENTATIVE
What the Job Entails:
- Responsible for managing and growing key carrier accounts within the coast to coast division.
- Provide expert knowledge on retail and CPG requirements and carrier network.
- Develop and maintain carrier relationships through proactive outreach and networking via phone and email.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing carriers to deliver superior service to our customers.
- Responsible for ensuring KPIs for booking reps are met daily.
- Ensure all loads are covered before leaving for the day.
- Understand and stay up to date on market seasonality and all current market trends, and industry developments to negotiate competitive rates.
- Develop and maintain strong carrier relationships.
- Optimize carrier rates to maximize profitability while ensuring optimal load volume.
- Drive strategic carrier sales initiatives for prospecting and management of retail / cpg carriers leading to long term partnerships.
- Communicate regularly with carriers to assess capacity availability, discuss network opportunities and negotiate rates on both spot and contracted levels.
- Provide clear communication of load details and shipment requirements throughout the lifecycle of the load.
- Collaborate internally with the team on carrier development and driving cost savings.
- Monitor shipment progress daily to ensure coverage, on time delivery and resolution of any transit issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve carrier satisfaction and service.
- Update system records promptly with load status changes, issues, and concerns for internal team visibility.
- Represent both customers and carriers professionally and respectfully in all interactions.
- 3 years of experience in a fast paced organization with all modes of transportation (Dry van, reefer, consolidated, straight / box trucks, flatbed).
- A proactive, sales-oriented mindset with a strong inclination towards relationship-building.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and negotiating terms.
- Highly driven to achieve success and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
- Persistent, positive attitude with a focus on solutions.
- A leader to help grow our carrier network and develop younger reps.

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
Traffic Tech has implemented preventative measures and safety precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all persons entering Traffic Tech facilities.
