Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with partner carriers to ensure reliable transportation services.
- Negotiation Expertise: :Act as the lead negotiator with partner carriers to secure competitive rates and optimize operational costs.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily freight operations, including planning, scheduling, and troubleshooting to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Accountability: :Monitor and enforce scorecard metrics for partner carriers, ensuring adherence to performance standards and operational goals.
- Data Management: :Leverage Excel and other tools to track freight operations, analyze trends, and generate reports for decision-making.
- Multitasking Excellence: Balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment, maintaining a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Organizational Efficiency: Implement and maintain processes that streamline day-to-day operations and enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in carrier sales, logistics operations, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in negotiating contracts and rates with carriers.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.
- Experience in measuring and holding partner carriers accountable through performance scorecards.
