Warehouse Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Support Specialist to ensure the efficient coordination and management of trailers and equipment within our yard. In this role, you will oversee trailer

operations, lead personnel, and maintain safety compliance while collaborating with internal teams to resolve logistical challenges. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills to optimize yard and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trailer Operations Oversight: Manage the arrival, departure, and staging of trailers to maintain smooth yard operations.
2. Load Assignments: Monitor trip numbers and load status to ensure accurate and timely trailer assignments.
3. Team Leadership: Supervise drivers and yard personnel, ensuring efficient task completion and maintaining productivity.
4. Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of trailers, trucks, and equipment to ensure adherence to safety standards.
5. Issue Resolution: Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions, ensuring prompt resolution.
6. Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, including arrivals, departures, and dock assignments.
7. Reporting: Prepare and submit daily shift reports, including trailer counts, operational updates, and performance metrics.
8. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse, dispatch, and operations teams to synchronize schedules for efficient loading and unloading.
9. Driver Communication: Manage trailer availability by coordinating with drivers and addressing delays or operational issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with knowledge of trailer operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively supervise teams.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards for trucking and warehouse equipment.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency in data management and reporting.

Working Conditions :

This role requires on-site availability during scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays. The position involves working both outdoors in the yard and indoors with warehouse teams.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift (Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM)

• Night and overnight shifts required
