Job Overview
The Trafford Borough Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer. Applicant requirements: must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen, and PA Act 120 certified. The applicant must also have a high school diploma or a GED, be in good physical condition, meet all Civil Service requirements and possess a valid PA Driver’s License.
The full-time officer position has a starting pay of $53,497.60/year up to $66,872.00 after 5 years of service, with an excellent benefits package including healthcare, pension, vacation/personal/sick/holiday time, uniform allowance, and life insurance.
Applications can be obtained at the borough office, located at 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford, PA 15085, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All applications must be received no later than February 25th at 4:00 p.m. The physical agility testing is scheduled for March 4th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Allegheny County Police Academy. Applicants who successfully pass the physical agility test will be eligible to take the written examination. The written examination will be held on March 7th at 10:00am in the Manchester Room of Trafford Borough Municipal Building, 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford 15085.
