Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The Pollstar back-to-back Arena of the Year nominee in 2022 and 2023 and state-of-the-art arena hosts concerts, sporting events and family entertainment and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show and rodeo performances.
Classification: Exempt Full Time
Supervisory responsibility: Exercises general supervision over part time staff assigned to the department.
Job Description: The Box Office Manager will play an integral role in working with promoters and building ticketed events at Dickies Arena. This role will share the responsibility of maintaining strong relationships with those promoters and tour representatives, along with venue management and staff. The position will work closely with the Director of Marketing, the Director of Finance and the Event Managers to create the seating manifest for events, build ticketing and marketing initiatives for those events, and financial reporting needs. The Box Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the ticket office runs efficiently through proper training, event management, leadership, and the oversight of day-to-day functions.
Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to the following):
- Own the development and management of a ticketed event from start to finish. Building the manifest in TM Host from a CAD diagram, building the event in EMT, building and scheduling all presale and onsale offers, and running reports and settling the show on event night.
- Responsible for the box office daily financial reporting across all lines of revenue through the ticketing system and reconciliation of all Arena and Premium ticket sales. Create checks and balances to ensure accuracy of event builds, presale/on sales and internal and external reporting.
- Work in collaboration with the Ticketing company and other leaders under TDMC to drive revenue through innovation and utilization of the software capabilities.
- Oversee inventory management from on sale through event settlement and post-event financial reconciliation.
- Set up and manage Suite and Premium ticket events on the ticketing system, developing excellent relations with the Premium sales team and assist with Premium Sales and Financial reporting.
- Oversees day to day operations of the Box office including communication between Ticketing company, communication with TDMC department leads, and the management of the box office staff including the full time and part time labor force.
- Establish excellent working relations with concert promoters, other internal departments, and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree or relevant equivalent experience.
- 6 years of Ticketing or box office operations, ticketing software, and management/supervisory experience in an arena, stadium, or public assembly facility
- Advanced level user knowledge of ticketing systems, policies and procedures, including event management and bar-coding systems.
- Knowledge of Ticketmaster and associated products including but not limited to Archtics, HOST, TM1, Presence, and EMT.
- Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives; learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly
- Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated sound organizational and personal interface skills.
- Be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar dictates.
