Dickies Arena is a 14,000-seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, which opened in November 2019, hosts concerts, sporting events, and family entertainment and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.
Classification: Exempt Full-Time Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Job Description:
The Payroll Manager, under managerial direction, the payroll manager processes and interprets the organization's payroll and benefits programs and performs related functions and related work as required. The Payroll Manager is responsible for all day-to-day payroll administration, personnel recordkeeping, and benefits administration. This position works closely with the finance/accounting teams to coordinate the consistent and effective application of the human resources department's policies, procedures, and practices. In-person and predictable attendance are required.
Position Qualifications
• Required: minimum associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• At least five (5) years of payroll experience.
• Prefer APA certification.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong process and procedure knowledge for continuous process improvements.
• Demonstrated drive for excellence in operational support and customer service.
• Effectively deal with deadlines and pressure situations.
• confidentially handle information.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
• Demonstrate a commitment to working well with others.
• Work independently with minimum supervision and maximum accountability.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Represent the organization in a wide variety of capacities.
Essential Functions:

• Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Responsible for processing multiple payrolls across the organization.
• Perform review of data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to, salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave.
• Promptly address voluntary deductions, wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments, including reporting to the necessary authorities.
• Provide support to staff with general questions about payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits, and other pay-related issues.
• Time and attendance Oversight: This position oversees timekeeping systems to accurately record employee hours, resolve discrepancies, and implement necessary corrections or adjustments.
• Establish time & attendance rules for the system by labor laws.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders, such as earnings statements, tax filings, and compliance reports, and conduct periodic analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Audits and Reconciliations: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll records to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to internal controls.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll processing, including automation and streamlining of manual processes, to enhance accuracy and productivity.
• Stay current on new requirements and regulations; advise management on needed actions.
• Participate in TDMC meetings and events as required and appropriate.
• Promote a unified, team-oriented atmosphere in all communications and actions.
Physical Demands
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as calculators, telephones, copy machines, faxes, and printers. Employees will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events to interact with internal/external clients and supervise employees' work during events. Employees must constantly communicate via telephone, email, and inperson with others and exchange accurate information. Due to business demands and event operations, employees may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. As a business, maintenance, operations, or emergency situations require, employees may sporadically assist in lifting/moving 100 lbs. or more.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work may vary, and some nights, weekends, and holidays are required.
