What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Trail Ridge Retirement?
Trail Ridge Senior Living, a not-for-profit American Baptist Homes of the Midwest Community, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our environmental services team.
As a Maintenance technician you will perform semi-skilled building maintenance tasks as assigned in areas such as rough carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, grounds-keeping, snow removal and air conditioning to assist in the maintenance, repair, and operating needs of the facility. In this role you will also assist with snow removal and some grounds maintenance as needed.
- Pay starts from $22.00-$24.75 based on experience
- This is a Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm position
- Includes rotating on-call responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1) providing physical labor on a variety of routine building maintenance projects; 2) inspecting and maintaining equipment, machinery and appliances; 3) inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems; 4) painting or preparing surfaces for finishing; 5) assisting with plumbing projects to maintain systems for the facility; 6) assisting in the completion of electrical tasks to ensure continued and safe operation; 7) various carpentry projects and; 8) assisting in maintaining grounds, including snow removal, irrigation systems, and general aesthetics
What you will need:
- working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and appliances of general building and facility maintenance
- experience with heating and cooling systems, electrical, and plumbing work; building construction and grounds-keeping
- prior experience with commercial kitchen equipment preferred
- skill to use a variety of hand and power tools
- this position requires frequent physical activity including heavy lifting, work from ladders, scaffolding, or in confined areas
- Must hold valid driver license as this position is expected to operate company vehicles
- Must be at least age 18 or older
