ABOUT OUR SERVER ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Server to join our team at Trailborn Surf and Sound, WBNC. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet guests and take their orders promptly and accurately
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions guests may have
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to work well in a team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to remain upright and able to continuously move on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift.
- Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.
SKILLS
As a Server, you will utilize your excellent communication and customer service skills to provide exceptional service to our guests. Your ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Additionally, your attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and credit card transactions will contribute to the smooth operation of our restaurant. Finally, your ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen staff and other team members will ensure a positive and productive work environment
SCHEDULE
Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality – on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
SALARY RANGE
$3.13 per hour with additional gratuity
