ABOUT OUR ROLE
Our Assistant General Manager (AGM) creates a memorable guest experience by supporting all aspects of the operation including guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation. The AGM will oversee daily operations for all departments, such as the housekeeping, front desks, bell services, activities, and support and coordinate with other departments like administration, facilities and F&B. Provide administrative support to the general manager and carry out their policies. As well as assist them in the development and implementation of Resort wide strategies.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
Guest Experience:
- Provides professionalism and courtesy to all guests and their experiences
- Solve, train, motivate and encourage staff to handle guest and employee concerns
- Stay visible and present. Proactive when dealing with guest concerns
- Assist employees in understanding guests ever-changing expectations and how to exceed them
- Leads the guest review feedback cycle and ensures proper corrective action is taken
Operational and Financial Management:
- Monitor condition of properties cleanliness, costs and quality of product and services continuously
- Verify brand standards are being followed and team members exceed brand requirements
- Supervise the preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules for the property
- Manage property departmental checkbooks biweekly
- Track and report team performance in quality of service and financially against budget
Managing, Supporting and Developing Teams
- Promoting a positive work environment
- Sets clear performance expectations with the General Manager
- Stays readily available and approachable to all employees
- Manage and monitor labor standards
- Takes proactive approach when dealing with employee concerns
- Assists Management and supervisors with constructive coaching and counseling
- Solicits feedback for continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned and needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience Guest Services management preferable in a resort environment
- Positive attitude, service oriented and able to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and organization management skills
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and work under limited supervision
- Ability to prioritize and organize. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Ability to manage and adapt to new technologies and systems
Preferred Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS
- Able to walk, stand for long periods of time and bend continuously. Able to carry up to 30 pounds.

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
