ABOUT OUR LINE COOK ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Trailborn Surf and Sound in WBNC. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to our guests' satisfaction. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role. Ultimately, you will help us deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 2 years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Culinary degree or certification
  • Experience working in a high-volume restaurant
  • Experience with menu development and recipe creation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to remain upright and able to continuously move on a firm surface for an 8-10-hour shift.
  • Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.
  • SKILLS

    As a Line Cook, you will use your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines to prepare and cook high-quality dishes. You will also use your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, your communication and teamwork skills will be essential as you collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items and maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Ultimately, your ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively will help us deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

    SCHEDULE

    Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality - on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    SALARY RANGE

    17 to $21 per hour based on experience
