Job Description: We seek a dedicated and reliable Parts Delivery Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling, distributing, and delivering parts within the organization. This includes confirming counts on packing slips, placing parts in assigned areas, distributing parts to technicians, and ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload parts orders and confirm counts on packing slips.
- Place parts in assigned areas and distribute them to technicians.
- Pull parts for shop jobs and place them in the back of repaired trailers.
- Monitor shop supplies and order as needed.
- Keep the parts room clean and organized.
- Order shop tools for the Service Department with approval.
- Monitor approved work orders and send out emails when parts arrive.
- Deliver and pick up parts in a timely manner.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs and billing statements.
- Report any mechanical problems with vehicles.
- Follow traffic laws and transportation procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in parts delivery, logistics, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with automotive parts.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations effectively.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional extended hours as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy items, endure long physical activity, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Close vision for computer work, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
