Trailer Shop Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our Trailer Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and managerial skills, and a solid background in Trailer repairs, quoting jobs, and knowledge of body work for wrecked trailers. This role also requires knowledge of tankers and washout procedures.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day operations of the shop, including scheduling and supervising staff.
• Quoting and estimations for new jobs in shop.
• Willingness to be hands on and help with jobs when needed.
• Training and evaluating mechanics
• Work with safety director to ensure requirements are being met.
• Approval of and supervising trailer washouts.
• Protecting company's values by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with Federal, State, and Company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate all training for the trailer shop techs to ensure proper site operations.
• Take call outs and assign call outs as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Trailer repair and Body work.
• Experience with Tankers and washout procedures.
• Good communication
• Management experience
• Osha Compliance knowledge
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Welding experience
• Good judgement and decision making skills
• Team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
