As a Tutor, you will assist students individually and in small groups, helping them understand educational concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for tests. Responsibilities:
- Help students understand new concepts
- Assist students in preparing for tests and completing assignments
- Teach problem-solving skills
- Prepare lessons
- Communicate with parents and teachers
- Previous experience as a Tutor is preferred
- High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Patient, understanding, and reliable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Education/Certification Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is preferred.
- Must be able to create tutoring plans
- Provides high-quality instruction to individual students and small groups
- Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
- Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students
- Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision.
