Description : POSITION SUMMARY
Ensures regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Serves as resource for education services to maintain best practices and effective service delivery to children birth to age 12 at multiple locations in Orange and Riverside Counties.
COMPENSATION : $69,000 to $72,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM OPERATIONS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Supports the implementation of TRF’s Education Services and Systems for children (infant - age 12) by ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach that meets any combination of the Creative Curriculum, California Community Care Licensing regulation requirements, State Funded Programs Terms and Conditions and program policies and procedures
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to effective delivery of education services
- Ensure that facilities, including buildings and grounds are monitored and maintained for safety
- Assist in coordinating needed program data for all funding reviews and audits
QUALITY ASSURANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
Participate in the hiring, training and onboarding of education staff.Provide coaching and guidance of site teams, including monitoring, staffing, problem-solving and performance improvement to staffProvide constructive feedback and on-going support to Site Directors and Education staff.Communicate with site staff to ensure quality services for children.Conduct classroom observations and / or assessments related to adult-child interactions, classroom environments and other quality measures (i.e., CLASS, Environmental Rating Scales, NAEYC)Provide resources, materials, and strategies / techniques to assist staff with the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices.Ensure observations and assessments are completed according to program requirementsParticipate in on-going monitoring system - tracking, follow-up and analysis of child development services, child outcomes, ongoing observation and other data.Establish and maintain appropriate staffing to ensure compliance with program requirements (including substituting at site or classroom level as needed).COACHING & DEVELOPMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
Promote best practices based on Title 22, Title V, CDE, CDSS, State Licensing and Agency Policies.Coordinate and provide training and guidance to staff, parents and the community on a variety of pertinent topics in the areas of education and child development.Delivers coaching / mentoring sessions to teaching staff on a regular basis as determined by staff needs and assessments.Provide staff development to new teaching staff and maintain support as needed while they gain knowledge of their role and the responsibilities of their position.Delivers coaching / mentoring sessions to teaching staff on a regular basis as determined by staff needs and assessments.Provide other duties as assigned.Requirements :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS)
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Behavioral Sciences with an AA Degree in ECE. Master’s Degree is a plus, Bilingual is a Plus.Possess current CTC Site Supervisor Permit (Program Director Permit preferred).Minimum of three years of supervisory experience and direct experience working with ASQ, CLASS, DRDP and Environmental Rating Scales (ITERS, ECERS, SACERS).Experience supervising educators working with Children age ranges from Birth-13 Years in a State and / or Federally Subsidized ECE Programs.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
Good oral and written communication skillsAbility to complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks utilizing independent thinking skills.Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.Ability to effectively communicate with community members and groups, managers, regulatory agencies and families both individually and in group settings.Knowledge of software programs such as MS Office Suite and ECE Data Reporting Platforms.Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.Selecting and using training / instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.Able to resolve conflicts, gentle, loving, kind, creative and resourceful. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people. Excellent problem solving, planning, and organizational skills.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Criminal background clearance with (FBI, DOJ, and CAI)Complete a physical examination, T.B. test, proof of immunization for (influenza, TDap, and MMR),Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States.
