Tramec Sloan and Fleet Engineers is a renowned leader in the heavy-duty automotive industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our valued customers. Due to exciting growth, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator to join our innovative and driven team.
Our location in Muskegon, MI is looking for a Full-Time 1st shift (M - F, 6am - 2:30pm) Press Brake / Laser Machine Operator.
Requirements
This position is responsible for running and setting up a variety of equipment in the Tech Cell which includes Press Brake; Laser and Buffalo Rolls machine.
- Aligns parts or positions them against fixtures on a machine.
- Stacks, racks, wraps, counts component or finished goods for placement onto skids.
- Inspects parts according to requirements.
- Use of calipers, tape measure, measuring fixtures and gauges.
- Ability to use computer to log production documentation into Epicor software.
- Ability to set-up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers & Rolls Equipment.
- Ability to trouble shoot and make machine adjustments to assure dimensional compliance of parts.
- Maintain production rate numbers and perform machine change overs in the appropriate time.
- Familiar with working with a variety of materials including, Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum & Stainless.
Skills/qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years manufacturing experience on Press Brakes, Lasers and CNC Milling Machines.
- Computer data entry
- Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and able to read blueprints.
