We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting with HR operations, employee relations, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of HR activities. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and have excellent interpersonal skills to support both management and employees.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties:
- Coordinate employee onboarding, pre-employment screenings including paperwork, orientations, and training logistics.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and physical files.
- Prepare and process HR documents such as offer letters, employment contracts, and termination paperwork.
- Track and report on employee attendance, time off, and other personnel metrics.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely assistance or escalate as needed.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor laws.
- Coordinate training sessions, maintain training records, and assist in identifying development opportunities.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
- May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: At least 1-2 years HR-related experience required. Experience in Manufacturing HR is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software.
- Basic understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
