Position Description
- This position is responsible for safely performing high-level repetitive work to quality standards.
- This position is expected to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the building (assembly) of our product.
- Tasks may vary by work area and work assignments may change based on business demands.
- Perform repetitive progressive line assembly of parts, and sub-assemblies on any line within the plant, in accordance with predetermined DFT methods and sequences.
- Read, understand, and apply method sheets and assembly diagrams, in addition to following verbal (written and oral) directions.
- Use methods of perception/ senses (sight, hearing, smell) to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions.
- Be knowledgeable of all applicable safety rules and procedures.
- Understand and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Read print drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials for construction.
- Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties.
- Effectively use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
- Read, learn and follow OMSs for construction.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for tools/equipment to be repaired as needed.
- Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
- Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements

- Loading and unloading onto conveyors and carts, operating fork trucks and hoists.
- Work in a team environment and assist co-workers in other areas as needed/directed.
- Perform general housekeeping of the work area.
- Tasks can include but are not limited to: brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, hanging and unhanging parts, and performing quality checks and tests.
- Suggest process improvement ideas.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.
- One (1) year in manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
- Familiar with and can utilize power tools.
- Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc.
- Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems.
- Has the knowledge and ability to apply basic math skills.
- Commitment to performing quality work.
- Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
- Willingness to learn all tasks required to perform the job.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Ability to perform work in a variety of environments (Examples: on ladders, in high places, in confined areas).
