Position Description

Training And Certification
- Initial training and certification will be on the day shift (Auditor role).
- Upon completion of the certification process, the position will transition to the 2nd shift (Coach role with shift differential).
- Train new Braze Candidates to meet Braze Excellence requirements.
- Create and maintain certifications and training records.
- Ensure Braze trainees adhere to safety protocols and working hours.
- Re-certify and audit all Brazers annually.
- Hold Brazers accountable to the 9 steps of brazing and address violations.
- Conduct random audits on production lines and document findings.
- Audit Braze fixtures for usability and document issues.
- Maintain lab supplies and practice/test items.
- Continuously improve braze training processes, documentation, and equipment to achieve and maintain high scores on the SharePoint Maturity Scorecard.
- Support Braze Excellence A3 box 7 as needed.
- Ensure 100% on-time certifications and six-month audits for Brazers.
- Manage Braze Excellence Kiosks: create, update, audit, and hold production accountable for braze audits, leak data collection (TLA), and BPS requirements.
- Maintain production braze equipment (replace defective equipment, adjust gas flows, verify N2 oxygen levels, etc.).
- Support continuous improvements on production lines.
- Attend MWI Braze meetings for each production line.
- Address Field Quality Alerts for braze leaks, including root cause analysis and fixes.
- Fill in as a Brazer on production lines as needed, maintaining all certifications.
- Create morning startup meeting content – (aka Brazer priorities and constraints).
- Communicate issues, request support, and notifications (QE, ME, Design, WGMs, etc.).
- Perform other quality functions as needed.
- Must become a certified Brazer in all plant processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable speaking in group settings to individuals at all levels.
- Ability to teach new Braze Candidates about PPE and safe equipment use.
- Ability to train and demonstrate braze techniques.
- Knowledge of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, etc.) and hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, crimpers, etc.).
