Job Summary:
The Manager, Competitive and Market Intelligence will gather, interpret, and analyze data from a variety of sources on Residential HVAC’s primary and adjacent markets and competitors and communicate key insights to senior business leaders. Reporting to the Director of Strategy, this role is crucial for driving the strategic vision of the business unit by providing actionable insights to senior leaders, thereby informing strategic initiatives and tactical decisions.

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. The location preference would be Davidson, NC but work can be done out of any facility in the US.
Key Responsibilities
Competitive and Market Intelligence Model Leadership: Build and maintain a competitive and market intelligence model based on three core actions…
- Listen: Lead the intelligence gathering process using a variety of sources including field observations, press releases, industry publications, and regulatory updates.
- Analyze and Adjust: Maintain the business’s current understanding of the market and competitors, updating based on new information and insights.
- Act: Support strategic and tactical decision-making including strategy planning, scenario planning, and Long-Range Planning (LRP) development. Prepare and distribute regular market and competitive intelligence reports to the senior leadership team.
Market Intelligence
- Proactively identify emerging market opportunities and risks by developing and maintaining a dynamic market intelligence framework.
- Partner with internal Customer Insights, Data Analytics, and Finance to collect, aggregate, and synthesize market data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Guide third-party research and analysis resources, as needed, to ensure scope-of-work is delivered in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform business decisions.
Competitive Intelligence
- Investigate a variety of sources to gather intelligence on competitors, analyzing data for trends or patterns that influence strategic decisions.
- Build, maintain and enhance an internal competition database to monitor key competitors.
- Help inform and validate team strategies and roadmaps based on competitive insights.
Communication and Advice
- Craft customized intelligence briefings for different audiences to ensure relevancy and strategic alignment.
- Prepare and deliver insightful reports to senior leaders, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, identifying trends, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate strategy workshops using insights to challenge and refine business strategies.
- Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in marketing, finance, or statistics
- Five years of experience required; preferably in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, marketing, finance, or project management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders from different functions, businesses, and backgrounds, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Salary : $98,000 - $140,000
