Job Summary
The Engineering Intern of the Compressor Product Engineering team works closely with other engineering teams across the Trane Technologies business such as Test Lab, manufacturing and equipment development teams. In this role, you will support team members with the introduction, production and application of Compressors and Technology of compressors used in Trane Commercial HVAC and Transport Refrigeration applications. The selected individual must have the technical expertise to complete assigned tasks in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate product development process practices.
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Participate in project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, lab test results, drawings, models, and specifications.
- Provide technical support to laboratory technicians, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, technical service, and operations.
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a BS in Engineering
- Sophomore standing or higher
- Able to function as a team member on cross-functional product engineering teams and deliver on select design elements for projects.
- Basic understanding of HVAC system functions including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow and ventilation.
- Analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions.
