Provides strong support for operators to turn improvement ideas into safe and workable solutions. Support RIE events in the application and development of ideas. Guides and supports employees through change initiatives by communicating the benefits, addressing concerns, and providing necessary training and resources.

Manufacture tables, workstations, trolleys, tool holders, mistake proofing, accessories, ergonomic assists and any other device that helps improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity objectives. Modify existing equipment to improve its usefulness in the process.

Responsibilities:

Perform advanced fabrication and welding activities.
Design and implement simple automation/mechatronics.
Actively participate in 9 step problem solving activities.
Obtain 9 step problem solving certification and solve problems related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity objectives.
Coach and facilitate 9 step problem solving activities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Inventory objectives.
Perform basic maintenance functions on shop equipment.
Develop Preventative Maintenance plan for shop equipment.
Facilitate Preventative Maintenance activities for critical processes within the operation.
Adhere to 5S standards for Moonshine shop.
Support 5S implementation and maintenance for RIE activities.
Facilitate 5S improvement activities within plant functions.
Adheres and executes Management of Change (M.O.C.) activities pertaining to assigned work.
Coach and support adherence and execution of Management of Change (M.O.C.) activities within the operation.
Facilitate and lead execution of Management of Change (M.O.C.) activities within the operation.
Qualifications:
Advance mechanical aptitude. Math and measurement skills. Good interpersonal relationships. Oral and written communications skills. High school diploma or GED.

Welding certification. PLC programming Certification and or tool making or repair certification.
