Custodian (On-Call, As Needed)

Hours: This role is on an as-needed basis. No hours guaranteed. The client will send weekly schedules ahead of time. This role is best for someone who has another part-time job with consistent hours. 
Status: Independent Contractor, 1099.
Pay Range: $15 to $20/hr. (time in office for inventory is also paid).

Responsibilities:

• Uses cleaning supplies and other products to create a clean, healthy environment. 
• Cleans, dusts, scrubs and maintains buildings, facilities, and appliances. 
• Removes and disposes trash, recycling, and other waste following the appropriate policies.  
• Disinfects and sanitizes common areas and high-touch points.
• Cleans bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
• Restocks supplies and inventory.
• Vacuums, mops, dust mops, sweeps, and scrubs floors.
• Cleans and polishes furniture, fixtures, and elevators.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Completes inventory checklists before and after every shift for accountability.
• Ensures utmost customer service for recurring clients and positive review.

• Reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling
• Respective bending and arm movements
• Lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds, sometimes over the shoulder

Qualifications:  

• Must posses 1-3 years of general work experience as a Custodian or a Janitor. 
• Possess verifiable commercial and residential cleaning experience.
• Ability to safely transport all cleaning equipment to and from the client's office.
• Ability to communicate professionally with the client.
• Ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Ability to perform work duties with reasonable accommodations.
• May need to have basic maintenance skills.

• High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.

Travel Requirements:  

This position will involve commuting to client's homes in the DMV area.
