Job Description
Trans Ova Genetics is seeking a full time Commercial Thawing Technician to join our team in Hale Center, TX! Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about livestock, reproductive technology, and thrives off client satisfaction. The Commercial Thawing Technician provides laboratory support for services such as grading embryos, thawing frozen embryos, and assisting with fresh & frozen transfers. This position is also responsible for accurate data entry with high attention to detail.
Trans Ova Genetics provides in-depth training that provides a solid foundation prior to supporting client production This training program will require traveling to our Maryland location for 3-4 weeks. Key Responsibilities
B.S. in Agricultural related studies or Biology or a Veterinary Technician degree.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope. Good hand-eye coordination. Handling dexterity is required for manipulation of equipment and small objects. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, color/pattern recognition, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus. Ability to work with liquid nitrogen.

Key Responsibilities
- Grading embryos according to IETS standards
- Data Entry
- Thawing frozen embryos
- Assisting with fresh and frozen transfers
- Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional image reflective of TOG’s industry position
- Inventory Management (both supplies and frozen embryo inventory)
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace
