Job Description
Trans Ova Genetics company growth has led to the need for additional resources to lead corporate financial analysis, reporting and budgeting/forecasting efforts. The Director of FP&A will be in a leading role related to financial analysis and planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, KPI reporting, margin analysis, actual vs. budget & prior-year financial variance evaluation, TOG & URUS (parent company) corporate reporting, cash flow management, and location/department P&L review & analysis. They would also support M&A projects and integrations. In addition, they will assist the TOG executive team to reach financial performance targets and help establish fiscal management discipline within the organization, while also recommending and implementing improvements to financial management & reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget & quarterly re-forecasting initiatives (income statement & balance sheet).
- Evaluate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial & production results compared to budget/forecast and prior year results.
- Create monthly reports on KPIs, underlying results and trends, and areas for improvement or focus.
- Conduct deep dives into particular expense or revenue lines to understand their drivers and potential levers to enhance financial performance.
- Work with Controllers and CFO to evaluate and enhance reporting processes and implement financial/accounting system best practices.
- Explore and develop opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digitization.
- Partner with the IT & ERP teams to learn and deploy PowerBI reporting capabilities.
- Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate financial projections, drivers, business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Take a leadership role in promoting, instituting, and teaching financial discipline across all facets of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree with MBA/CPA (preferred) or the equivalent education/experience
- 8 years previous work experience and proven success in financial leadership, planning & execution
- Agriculture industry a plus
- The ability to motivate and influence others, while efficiently managing multiple tasks to successfully meet deadlines
- Very strong analytical, financial, writing & presentation development skills
- Experience with short & long-term planning and execution skills
- Strong computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft office.
