Job Description:
A heavy equipment operator specializing in front-end loader is responsible for operating a large, wheeled machine with a front-mounted bucket to efficiently move, load, and transport bulk materials like gravel, sand, concrete, or other construction materials across a worksite, ensuring safe and effective operation while adhering to safety regulations, in construction and or mining setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating the front-end loader: Skillfully maneuvering the loader to scoop, lift, and transport materials to designated areas. Ability to operate heavy equipment/Front End Loader in a productive, efficient and safe manner.
- Loading trucks and other vehicles: Precisely filling trucks or other transport vehicles with materials using the loader bucket.
- Grading and leveling: Utilizing the loader to level ground and create smooth surfaces.
- Site preparation: Clearing debris, excavating soil, and preparing work areas.
- Maintenance and inspection: Performing routine checks (daily maintenance) on the loader's functionality, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and hydraulic systems, reporting any issues. Track hours on utilized equipment.
- Safety compliance: Following all safety protocols, wearing required personal protective equipment, and ensuring the work area is secure. Follow company and MSHA safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required:
Must have a valid driver’s license

- Heavy equipment operation expertise:
Proficient in operating a front-end loader, including proper shifting, bucket control, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
Must have minimum one (1) year experience loading tractor trailers trucks (required)
- MSHA Certified preferred
MSHA Certified preferred (OPTIONAL), will pay for certification if needed
- Spatial awareness:
Excellent understanding of site layout and the ability to navigate around obstacles.
- Hand-eye coordination:
Precise control of the loader's movements to accurately load materials.
- Physical fitness:
Ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude:
Basic understanding of loader mechanics to identify and report potential issues.
Work environments:
