MECHANIC
Summary/Objective: Under limited supervision, the mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs trucks and equipment.
- Maintains schedule of maintenance performed and when next service is due.
- Performs inspections and preventative maintenance of trucks and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform special tasks and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable Transportation
- Must work independently, as well as promotes an overall team atmosphere.
- Ability to work in all type of weather conditions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, work with your hands, grasp and have eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Walk and work on dirt surfaces that may be uneven.
- Lift and move objects up to 50lbs. without assistance.
- There is a constant exposure to the environmental noises and hazards, frequent exposure to extreme cold, heat and temperature changes, wet conditions, and exposure to humidity and other atmospheric conditions.
