Powder Processor Technician 2
In this role, you will produce custom ceramic powders through a variety of powder processing tasks. Duties include keeping accurate and up-to-date batch records, performing in-process tests, and reading and following written instructions and safety protocols.
Work schedule:
Multiple shifts available: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday-Friday; 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Monday-Friday; 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Sunday-Thursday; 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Thursday-Sunday. Training will be on 1st shift for 1-2 months.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Loading dry raw material powders into blending tanks and milling vessels to create homogenous mixtures and reduce particle size
- Loading drying ovens and loading the dry mixtures into ceramic saggers for thermal processing.
- Spray drying ceramic slurry mixtures
- Cleaning all processing equipment
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift 50-60 lbs.
- Able to work in dusty environments – at times, will need to use a respirator
- Ability to work in wet processing conditions
- Maintain accurate records electronically and written
Preferred competencies:
- Strong math and computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret process instructions
