What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Transcend Behavioral Services?
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist in conducting diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans
- Support individuals in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Ability to collect and analyze data to track client progress
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members
- Proficient in medical terminology related to developmental disabilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
