The main function of a PR Coordinator/ Marketing Analyst is to research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing analyst/coordinator is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution. The role will also include Media Relations responsibilities, including pitch material development, direct media outreach and management, and engagement tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes multiple assignments and projects with minimal or no direction.
- Leads project management and measurement analysis for the Strategic PR team, which includes compilation of weekly & monthly reporting and workback schedule
- Works closely with team members to determine the best solutions for team results
- Works together with a measurement agency partner to handle data entry of PR metrics, including coverage tracking and quality impact scoring
- Handles report delivery to appropriate department contacts
- Frequently deals with external customers at the highest level as well as agencies and possibly media, so must understand the need for professionalism
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare executive level reports, compile data into comprehensible format, and provide information for effective community, internal, finance, and company headquarters communications
Skills & Background:
- 2 Years Experience in a Corporate or Agency Environment, preferably within a marketing/PR organization
- Experience with media relations, including media outreach and inquiry management
- Experience with managing a database and interpreting data, including creating pivot tables, charts and graphs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to comply with all financial & legal policies and procedures
- An ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within the company, the local community, and with critical industry contacts.
