TransChicago Truck Group is committed to supporting our customers after the purchase of a new or used Freightliner, Western Star, or Isuzu truck. We offer products that assist with getting parts ordered and delivered, train our customers’ personnel on all levels of vehicle maintenance and repair, provide additional vehicle repair support in and out of our network, make rapid repairs to vehicles on-site at customer’s locations, and offer extended warranty products. - Excelerator Digital Sales Platform – Excelerator is the e-commerce platform for Daimler Truck North America (DTNA). Our platform is designed to streamline the parts oredring process through all stages – search, find, buy, and delivery. We represent a variety of suppliers and leverage our inventory through our Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) to ensure you recive the right part, at the right place and at the right time. You can access our one-stop shop solution for all heavy-duty truck parts through ExceleratorParts.com.
- TransChicago Training and Innovation Center – TransChicago operates a co-sponsored Freightliner/Western Star and Detroit training center offering 15 instructor led training courses. These courses cover all dealer/CPWA/Tier 1 chassis systems and engine maintenance/rebuild training requirements. We offer single day specialized coures for eligible customers looking for training for basic maintenance items. We offer the opportunity for our vendors to host training and informational meetings for our customers
- Customer Experience Group – TransChicago is dedicated to providing our customers with a seemless customer aftermarket experience. We’ve dedicated a group of people that focus on supporting them in every aspect of truck ownership. Whether our customers need help getting support for a complicated service experience in or out of network or provding guidance as to whether or not to consider applying for a Customer Performed Warranty Agreement (CPWA), our group of professionals are here to help!
- Mobile Service – We have a fleet of mobile service vehicles that can go to our customers to make quick repairs, perform scheduled maintenance, and keep our customer’s vehicles up to date on any open recalls. Our trucks are equipped with proprietary dianostic equipment and tools and parts inventory that enable our factory trainied technicians to support all warranty or customer paid repairs that keep their trucks up and running.
- Extended Warranty Offers – Our manufacturers offer several extended warranty options for customers to consider purchasing that provide OEM warranty coverage. These packages can be purchased at serveral different stages of ownership, from day one to up to 7 years after purchase. There are many levels that can be customized to meet customer needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Visit customers during post-sales experience to promote and explain our aftermarket support products.
- Meet and maintain relationships with all existing truck customers to promote and explain our aftermarket support products.
- Visit Independent Repair Facilities to promote Excelerator usage and parts delivery opportunities.
- Make cold calls to promote and explain our aftermarket support products.
- Perform periodic visits to customers that utilize aftermarket support products to gather feedback on the usage and offer opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in all manufacturer’s training courses related to product enhancements and future products.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High School Diploma
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and with others.
- Strong communicator who is able to present products, educate customers on features and benefits, and evaluate customer needs to determine which products bring value to the customer.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 base salary. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
