Route Relief Driver

TransCold Distribution is the premier wholesale supplier and distributor of ice cream and frozen goods throughout Western Canada and the United States. Headquartered on Annacis Island, Delta, BC, we have 14 locations and 240 employees. TransCold provides exclusive access to the most recognized and popular brands in the world with industry-best product variety and customer service. We deliver to Major Grocery, Drug, Gas & Convenience, chain retailers, and independent retailers across Western North American markets through Direct to Store Delivery (DSD) and Warehouse Fulfillment, and provide services for mobile vendors, corporate events, and third-party logistics (3PL) customers.

This role will be based out of Poway, CA

Key duties and responsibilities

Deliver products to customers in the assigned route

Ensures all customer deliveries are conducted according to established procedures

Provide coverage on routes and deliveries when needed

Assist with freezer deliveries and special events

Provide warehouse support when needed

Provide first class service to all customers to build/maintain quality customer relationships

Responsible for loading and unloading of products and delivering to customer locations

Exercise effective merchandising as per vendor/customer Planograms upon each delivery

Ensure all customers meet minimum order requirements

Maintain safe driving with zero preventable accidents

Performs other tasks within the scope of the role as necessary

Key Qualifications & Requirements

· Minimum High School Graduate

· 2-years driving experience

· Must obtain a clean driving record for 3 years

· Operate company vehicle in a safe manner including following all DOT regulations and local traffic ordinances

· CMV Medical Certification Required or the ability to obtain one.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

· Customer Service Oriented

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation:

• $22.00 an hour
