TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Accounting Coordinator to join our team based in Dover, Delaware.
Summary: Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Licensure: A valid driver’s license in good standing and free of DUI/DWI for three-year period prior to employment is required
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Skill: Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Job Complexity: Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
Supervision: Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 0 - 1 year of related experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Completes daily CSR/VPR reconciliations.
- Prepares bank deposits and brings cash/check deposits to the bank.
- Assists CSRs/VPRs in processing adjustments to correct problems.
- Reconciles daily deposits with bank reports.
- Processes adjustments/customer correspondence on all returned checks.
- Maintains property tags and reports on capital equipment.
- Maintains accounts payable files.
- Administers petty cash fund.
- Generate and monitor daily reports.
- Posts refunds into financial management software to generate checks
- Prepares purchase orders in financial management software for transponder inventory
- Tracks violation payments received and invoices DELDOT
- Prepares daily remote deposit to the bank
- Transports cash deposits to bank
- Prepares and sends Vtoll letters
- Codes all vendor invoices and ensures proper approval is obtained
- Calculates monthly revenue and expense accruals for corporate accounting department
- End of month, consolidating, recording and preparing for storage, all records from the accounting department
- Oversee daily proof out process of the Customer Service Center systems
- Responsible for creating and maintaining complex reconciliation spreadsheets
- Reconciles IAG reciprocity settlements
- Prepares and initiates wire transfers to DelDOT and other E-ZPass agencies
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
