TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time PBC Designer II to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Summary
Assists engineers in the design and development of moderately complex and detailed layouts for printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring that design specifications meet the functional and performance requirements.

- Supports engineers in the design and development of moderately complex PCB layouts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Works from preliminary schematics, descriptions of board function, configuration, and physical properties, as defined by engineering teams.
- Develops, refines, and checks design layouts and detailed drawings, ensuring they align with engineering standards.
- Applies design rules for manufacturing, impedance control, and other technical parameters, utilizing advanced CAD design tools.
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of PCB layouts into the broader engineering process.
- Provides feedback on design processes and actively participates in design reviews and troubleshooting activities.

- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with PCB CAD layout content and IPC certification desirable.
- Knowledge of electronic circuits and schematic design.
- Proficiency with PCB Layout tools (Mentor Graphics)
- Experience with AutoCAD and schematic generation tools.
- Knowledge of IPC specifications and standards for PCB design.
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Organizational and time management skills
- MS Office Software
- Able to communicate effectively
