TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time .NET Software Engineer II to join our team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Job Summary: The .NET Software Engineer II will be responsible for the ongoing support of our Infinity solution for the Pennsylvania region. This position will involve the development of customer specific functionality as well as ensuring the Infinity system is configured properly with the correct parameters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide .NET software support for our Infinity installations throughout the Pennsylvania region
- Provide continued performance improvement to the Infinity system including the database
- Author technical design specs ensuring the functional requirements are captured and the system fulfills the customer’s expectations
- Design and develop well documented source code
- Develop both unit test and system test scripts that will be incorporated into the QA process
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of professional experience architecting, developing, and maintaining solutions in C#, Web API, WCF, and ADO.NET utilizing the latest version(s) of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code to architect and deploy customer specific extensions for the Infinity solution
- Strong proficiency in debugging .NET Windows services and application using Web API/WCF/WPF frameworks
- Proficient in debugging front-end developed in AngularJS
- Familiarity with Entity framework
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong knowledge of build/deployment/unit testing tools
- Highly motivated team player and a self starter
- Excellent verbal, phone, and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts
- Strong knowledge of XML and related technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Latest experience should have been with using SQL Server 2019 & 2022
- Proficiency with developing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions.
- Familiarity with supporting high volume SQL Server databases in high availability and distributed environments
- Familiarity with System Administration for Windows 2022 Server
- Familiarity with Configuration Management tools such as Dimensions/JIRA.
- Professional experience within the Tolling Industry
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Master’s Degree preferred
