The Autonomous Vehicle Training Manager directly oversees the training team and ensures the successful implementation of training programs and processes. Effectively communicates with all levels of Management as well as clients regarding plans, adherence to guidelines established and escalates issues accordingly.
It is important to maintain a high level of professionalism and responsibility when interacting with internal and external customers, team members and Managers. Safety must be at the forefront of all planning and decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AVTS (Training Supervisors) job functions to support business training needs
- Conduct AVTS reviews to ensure steady growth
- Verify methods and metrics aimed at team development and growth
- Participate hiring process for training leadership roles
- Oversee training activities within assigned training programs
- Basic knowledge of unassigned training programs
- Frequent communication with training and operations Managers for planning purposes
- Oversee the development and maintenance of strategic training plans and rosters
- Review and advise on training plans based on communicated forecast
- Communication of training plans to the customer and the impacted team(s)
- Drive adherence to the training plan TAS committed to by working with the different POCs
- Ensure maintenance of the Training Rosters
- Verification of training needs and insurance of updated training plans
- Communication training plans with Operations team
- Oversee Transdev training events
- Verification of booking of needed training facilities
- Verify required vehicles are available and reserved
- Verification of Instructional team SOP and training compliance
- Travel requirement outside of immediate area: 30%
- All other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- 3 years Management experience
- 3 years training experience
- Must be at least 21 years old;
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- BS/BA degree required, or 4 years of relevant job experience
- Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs); and
- Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required).
- Previous Public Safety, Emergency and or traffic management experience highly preferred
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;
- Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;
- Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;
- Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;
- Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems
- Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts and ability to travel up to 5% of the time;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments; and
- Leadership skills to supervise classes with large groups of people.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.
- Long periods of sitting.
- Use hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Safety Sensitive Positions will also be subject to a physical screening

- Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license in states and positions where it’s required
