AV Field Systems Specialist (L2 Operator)

As an AV Field Systems Specialist at Transdev, you're not just a cog in a machine; you're a key player in shaping the future of transportation. No two days are the same in this dynamic role. One day, you might be orchestrating the deployment of autonomous vehicles or validating new software releases. The next day, you could rescue a stranded Autonomous Vehicle, safely returning it to the streets.

The AV Field Systems Specialist is a versatile role within Transdev’s organization, responsible for a variety of tasks and job roles including:

Fleet Deployment

• Coordinating fleet and depot operations
• Managing client assets
• Overseeing vehicle cleaning
• Implementing standard work procedures

Software Validation

• Software release validation
• Autonomous vehicle test driving
• Technology performance feedback

Roadside Assistance

• Driverless vehicle stranding recovery
• In-field vehicle troubleshooting
• Accident Response
• Client customer engagement

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the ongoing needs of the organization. Upon acceptance of the role, the AV Field Systems Specialist must have open availability as they will be placed into available schedules. While various shifts are available and regular and irregular shift bids will be conducted, the operation runs 24/7, including weekends, holidays, and overnight schedules.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience driving on public roads
• High School Diploma or GED required

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

• Ability to parallel park with minimal assistance.
• Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs);
• Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required); and
• Must be able to type at least 40 adjusted wpm.
• Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;
• Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;
• Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;
• Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;
• Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems;
• Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, overnights and/or weekends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional standing, walking, and long periods of sitting.
• Use hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
• Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Most work is accomplished outdoors in a vehicle.
