Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.Perform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliersPreventative maintenance (PM's), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usageRemove and replace and repair engine, transmission and differential assemblies.Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair .Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action takenEvaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where requiredAssist with road calls and emergency services as necessaryAdhere to Transdev standards, policies and proceduresMoves vehicles safely between job and work areaRepair and maintain all shop equipmentCleans vehicles as requested or requiredOther responsibility as requested or requiredEducation :
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred)State inspection license (if required)ASE Certification preferred.Intermediate mechanical aptitude and 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experienceAdhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standardsValid driver's licenseMaintain an organized shop and clean work environmentMaking sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customersPossess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner.Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.Physical Requirements :
