What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Transit Equipment Technician position at Transdev?
We are hiring for the position of Diesel & Automotive Mechanic at DeKalb, IL location. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty transit equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of transit vehicles according to company standards
- Inspection, diagnosis, servicing, and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment
- Ensuring accuracy of upgrades and modifications on coach systems, road calls, and on-road repairs as needed
- Coaching and monitoring team members on the job site
Candidates should be able to pass a DOT physical examination and background check, hold a valid driver's license with passenger and airbrake endorsements, and have prior experience working with heavy-duty transit equipment.
