Payroll/HR Mgr.
Currently in Seaside, CA, relocating to a new facility in Salinas, CA, in September 2025.
Transdev in Salina, CA, is hiring a Payroll/Human Resource Manager. This position assists the General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll and HR functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Transdev is proud to offer:
- Competitive compensation package of minimum $80,000 - Maximum $100,000
Benefits include:
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:
- Process new employee files and submit paperwork for approval.
- Calculate and input payroll for drivers and staff.
- Track attendance for part-time employees.
- Handle fare reconciliation and deposits.
- Assist in tracking and reducing overtime.
- Full-cycle recruiting: review applications, schedule interviews, hire candidates.
- Create and maintain employee files and onboarding paperwork.
- Manage payroll, leaves of absence, and FMLA tracking.
- Educate employees on benefits.
- Ensure compliance with background checks, drug screens, and E-Verify.
- Support transfer requests and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- College coursework in a related field preferred.
- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
