What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at Transdev?

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the Facility and Streetcar station stops.
$17.27/hour with annual increases
Full benefit package available after 90 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, & 401K
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports Transportation staff in response to stations and streetcars
- Clean facility and station stops, including sweeping, mopping, trash, ect.
- Keep the facility clean including restrooms and grounds
- Adheres to all safety and organizational rules, policies, and procedures
- Ensures equipment/facility availability requirements are consistently met
- Supports the Streetcar Vehicle and Wayside working groups whenever required
- Reports all accidents, incidents, or unusual transit occurrences and accurately completes all required reporting
- Other duties as required
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Qualified to drive and possess a valid State driver’s license in good standing
- Relevant training or certification in building or equipment maintenance is preferred
Experience:
- Two years’ experience a related field is preferred. Equivalence of experience and education will be considered.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Must have good oral and written communications skills
- Must be able to work amid constant interruptions, prioritize and deal with time pressured deadlines and be able to clearly communicate during such occasions
- Must be motivated, and have the ability to receive instruction and the ability to handle crisis and conflict situations.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must submit and successfully pass drug testing, criminal background check and verification of previous employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass periodic random drug/alcohol screenings as this is a safety sensitive position
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules, including weekends as needed
- This position requires the wearing of a uniform
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all types of conditions (e.g. weather, rain, dust, noise, heat, cold)
- Job requires standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and walking throughout the shift
- Must handle parts and equipment ranging from 10 to 50 lbs.
