Lead Dispatcher
Transdev in Vacaville, CA is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. Our Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the check-in process of drivers including fitness for duty inspection, uniform and credential check, and assignment of buses.
- Coordinate bus rotation, trips and driver break times by the assignment of vehicle.
- Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents
- Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
- Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
- Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
- Manage department reports and other communication tools.
- Other duties as required:
- Scheduling (Ranger/Pingo) & Data Entry Responsibilities (SFT).
- Communication skills with the City of Vacaville and Staff is essential.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not
authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Must have a current CDL (Class B, Air Brakes and Passenger endorsement) and Medical Certification.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- 90% of the work is performed in doors in an office setting. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
