Payroll Clerk A

Transdevin Baltimore, MD is hiring a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Clerk will work along with another payroll clerk and assist the Finance Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals. This role is fully on-site and will not support work from home or remote work.

CBA Position:

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $24.01 - $25.47 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
• Starting pay $24.01 with progression to $25.47 over 2years.

Benefits include:

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks – no vacation may be taken during first year of employment.


• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating
• Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing.
• Track attendance for employees.
• Assist Finance Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
• Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
