Essential Job Functions
The Quality Analyst is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining QMS performance improvement initiatives within the organization utilizing Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies. Responsibilities include administering and managing all activities related to conformance within the organization.
Job Activities
Initiate and support improvement activities involving design, inspection techniques, process/procedure methods, tooling, cost, and other areas involved in controlling material or product quality.
Provide technical direction and determine methods and operational sequences necessary for product inspections.
Planned, coordinated, and performed internal product, process, and procedure audits to ensure compliance with specified quality requirements.
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal quality performance, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions.
Set requirements for incoming raw materials or service inspection from suppliers/third parties and monitor their performance.
Participate in evaluating and selecting supplier material, processes, and parts.
Draft and review specifications and standards for products.
Responsible for calibration of measuring equipment, machinery, and tooling.
Generate training materials and programs as required and conduct training sessions to support the QMS.
Oversee material review board activities.
Work to move the company to ISO9000 compliance.
Update job knowledge by studying new developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, and/or participating in professional organizations.
Perform other Quality Engineering related duties or functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Prerequisites:
- TFI requires all members of our staff to fulfill all job functions in a consistent state of alertness and work in a safe manner
- Applicants must be able to successfully pass the following:
- Pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
- Pre-employment criminal history background check
- Pre-employment fitness for duty physical
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- BS degree minimum requirement in technical field or
- Three (3) years experience or equivalent in quality related role
- Familiarity with ISO9000 a plus
- Must be proficient with computer-based tools including Microsoft Office Suite, database, spreadsheets, ERP and QMS systems.
