We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the facility. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks using a warehouse management system to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Assist in building pallets and preparing products for shipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation, including cranes and clamp trucks.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for effective order picking.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with supervisors and team members.
